To note: Olinda is a municipality, not a neighborhood, and it’s not particularly black, the entire coastal Northeast is the blackest region in Brazil, it was the place where Brazil’s first slave-using monoculture (sugarcane) was mostly produced.

Sydney, NSW, Australia, has also seen a rise in recent challenges with this, particularly involving two train models on the Sydney Trains network. The older K sets, wrong overdue for retirement, are the most common but with the new Mariyung fleet entering intercity service to free up other trains for suburban services, their days should finally be numbered. The other fleet has been the Tangaras, which despite being introduced in 1989, have a very modern exterior that honestly looks like the result of Apple designing a train front. However, there is a small step in front of the end detrainment doors located above the coupler at the front which has become a popular riding plate for train surfers. Transport for NSW has started modifying the fleet with a triangle on top to make the step unusable, which makes the trains look like they have noses.
